Why Give?

When you invest in PAVE, you invest in proven strategies that make excellent educational opportunities possible for Milwaukee families.

During the past year, PAVE and its Board of Directors focused their energy on the implementation of the new PAVE School Quality Initiative, which is designed to better fulfill the PAVE mission to make excellent educational opportunities possible for low-income families in Milwaukee.  Milwaukee needs more high-quality schools to prepare students for higher education and the workplace.

PAVE seeks to do more than just close the achievement gap.  While PAVE continues to fund scholarships for college preparatory students, we believe the PAVE School Quality Initiative will impact more students by helping high-quality schools expand and grow.

Lasting change and improvement requires strong partners.  PAVE is pleased to work together with you, school boards and leaders, parents, and business and community leaders to improve educational outcomes for Milwaukee’s children.  Together, we can achieve our common goal: that all children in our city will be fully prepared for school, work, and life.  This commitment compels us to act.  Your contribution will help expand excellent educational opportunities for Milwaukee low-income families.

Please demonstrate your commitment to expanding excellent education for low-income Milwaukee students by supporting the PAVE 2011-2012 Annual Fund. Your donation supports more than just scholarships.  PAVE works with 40 Milwaukee schools seeking to provide quality education to Milwaukee students. PAVE helps schools to achieve greater excellence and to expand.

This year PAVE has currently designated 13 schools as “PAVE Partner Schools” serving more than 6,000 students, to work with intensively in an effort to expand and to achieve excellence in the four critical areas: board development and leadership, financial accountability, academic infrastructure and excellence, and strategic partnerships with parents and community.

PAVE continues to uphold the highest standards of accountability, and you will find our most recent audit and pertinent information about PAVE’s work with schools on our website.  Please contact Dan McKinley (414 263-2970) to discuss the Annual Fund.
